Louie LaSurie in the 4th of July Parade

Louie LaSurie, the World Cup Mouse, had fun marching in the Ashland 4th of July Parade as part of the Ashland Public Library entry.

In May, the voters of Jackson County approved permanent funding for the libraries.

We marched along the parade route, chanting, “Open books. Open minds. Open thanks to you!”

Hooray for books and hooray for libraries!
